Mission Statement
The Australian Centre for Clinical Reiki (ACCR) is dedicated to the wellbeing and effective healing of all patients by providing Clinical Reiki alongside treatment plans devised by medical practitioners. Our team is also committed to the welfare of families, medical staff and friends assisting patients throughout their medical journey.
About UsThe Australian Centre for Clinical Reiki (ACCR) is an organisation that delivers its complementary therapy to patients, families and medical staff in hospitals through the application of Clinical Reiki.
ACCR practitioners work alongside medical practitioners to improve the comfort and wellbeing of patients and their families, using Reiki - a non-invasive energy healing technique – in tailored treatment plans. The ACCR’s Clinical Reiki approach is beneficial for stress reduction, pain relief, improved quality of life and reduction of patient recovery times, and can be utilised during times of illness and as a preventative measures. Clinical Reiki is a complementary therapy that works effectively alongside different treatment procedures such as chemotherapy, surgery or radiotherapy and does not have any side effects or contraindications. The ACCR also works with family members of patients and medical staff to offer support and stress relief during their illness and treatment. Our purpose is to help assist with the patient's recovery process whilst also supporting loved ones with any challenges they may face. We also aim to provide staff with the support they need to continue their high standard of service and care to their patients. |
Bridget EricaBridget is the founder of the Australian Centre for Clinical Reiki. She is a certified Nutritional Therapist and Usui Reiki Master. Passionate about the body's natural ability to heal, Bridget herself has applied Reiki and nutrition to heal herself from stage III pre-cervical cancer, alongside the watchful eye of her doctor and after the traditional medical procedures were unsuccessful.
Her journey to Reiki Master was further inspired by her mother in-law's stage IV pancreatic cancer diagnosis. After receiving a prognosis of just two months to live, Bridget created a dedicated Clinical Reiki plan alongside her chemotherapy. Although her mother in-law recently passed away, she survived her illness for 24 months, a rare achievement for stage IV pancreatic cancer patients. Bridget is a dedicated Reiki Specialist who is sensitive to her patient's needs and welcomes the opportunity to bring clinical Reiki to the medical community, patients and family members. Bridget is also fluent in Italian. For more information go to www.alchemista.com.au or www.thereikitemple.com "I've experienced a great deal of positive change since seeing Bridget. I didn't know much about Reiki and was surprised and excited at how effective it continues to be. I really felt the changes build from session to session. I feel I have more ability to navigate my way through life, the mountains look like mole hills and I'm moving in the direction I want to be with far less effort.Cant get enough. Thank you Bridget!" - Ian |
Erik TeichmannErik has been using Reiki to heal himself and others since first learning over 16 years ago. After completing Reiki Master in 2008, he started training others as Reiki healers in 2010, and for the last five years Reiki has been his “day job”. Erik now runs one of Melbourne’s best-known Reiki schools and has also taught Reiki courses in North and South India and in Amsterdam.
Reiki came into Erik's life at a time when he was both physically run down and at a confusing crossroads. The gentle yet powerful energy was a godsend, helping him to heal on both a physical and psychological/emotional level. Since taking the level 1 course in December 2000 Reiki has usually been Erik's first option for health issues and a frequent tool in maintaining happiness levels. Erik really appreciates the fact that although Reiki is remarkably simple, he has found it highly effective for alleviating – or removing - so many different issues, as it works so well for physical conditions and for the psychological and emotional stresses that we all undergo. For more information go to www.thebuddhistlifecoach.com "It was really nice to learn something that is so healthy and healing for myself and others. It made me realise how little I actively take time to look after myself, and others, and how simple and rewarding it truly is. It also brought home the joy of physical contact, and how nice it is to be nice to one another." - Ben |
Arwen BardsleyWhen Arwen was a young child, her mother fell seriously ill and was diagnosed with a chronic illness. The resulting search for different treatment options first exposed Arwen to alternative therapies, especially an awareness of the simplicity and power of Reiki.
After going through some emotional traumas of her own in early middle age Arwen decided to return to Reiki, completing her Reiki I and Reiki II qualifications under Reiki Master Erik Teichmann. Arwen also completed Reiki Master training with Reiki Master Janine Barron. Arwen has a private practice in Melbourne’s Western suburbs, Evenstar Reiki Yarraville. Arwen is continuously grateful for the balance and emotional strength that Reiki has brought to her life, and is extremely excited about the opportunity to bring the significant benefits of Clinical Reiki to medical patients. As well as her Reiki qualifications, Arwen has a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology, from the University of Melbourne, and will shortly commence a Diploma in Kinesiology. For more information go to: www.reikiyarraville.com.au. "If you are looking for a healing reiki treatment in Yarraville - look no further. Arwen is a dedicated and intuitive reiki practitioner. I sought treatment for the relief of fatigue and feelings of burn out - the effect from one session improved my sleep and mental clarity for days afterwards. I highly recommend Arwen as a reiki practitioner." - Jeanne |
